I have a one litre pump up spray bottle which I fill with a light solution of aviation safe detergent and water. Before tying down the aircraft, I spray the leading edges and bug prone areas with the solution. Then I wipe with a cloth starting at the first point I sprayed. The bugs, grass seeds and stuff are easily removed, any stubborn items get another quick spray and wipe.

This most enjoyable event was attended by:

Jenny and friend who flew in from Essendon in the 172RG,

Peta and Mark who flew from Moorabbbin in a 172,

Mark, Vicky and Steve in DDM an LFS Archer,

Jock in JLF his aerobatic Bonanza,

Russ in his Pioneer 300 (Margie was unable to accompany),

Chris and Ken in ITR  their 172,

Steve and myself in DZP my Cardinal,

visiting RVs and others from around the country, and

    our most congenial hosts.

YECH destination is an easy 1 hour (or less) flight from YLIL depending on wind.

My apologies to Neroli, I neglected to get a photo until our return where Mark, Vicky, Steve, Steve and myself had a quite ale at Napoleons on St Herberts Rd in the Yarra Valley.

For those seeking to add another reason to aviate,  flyaways  are a must.
